To celebrate the 78th anniversary of Weichai's establishment, on October 21, the theme party day event "Strengthening the Weichai Brand, I Contribute to Heavy Industry"—the red gene tracing and root-seeking activity of Weichai Group took place in Weihai. Ma Changhai, member of the Shandong Heavy Industry Group Party Committee and deputy general manager, as well as the Party Secretary, Chairman, and General Manager of Weichai Group, led the team to participate in the event and delivered a speech.
More than 100 leaders at the director level and above from Weichai Group, secretaries of various directly affiliated party organizations, outstanding Communist Party members, and representatives of model workers embarked on a red root-seeking journey. They visited the Weihai Huanhai Iron Factory exhibition hall in Zhangjiashan Village, Wenquan Town, Huancui District, Weihai, and the old site of the Huanhai Iron Factory in Guanlidong Village, Qiaotoubao Town, Huancui District, Weihai. Everyone revisited that magnificent era through the old factory buildings and historical artifacts.
At the old site of the Huanhai Iron Factory, all party members lined up neatly, facing the party flag, and solemnly raised their right hands to reaffirm the party membership oath. The solemn oath echoed in the historical space, inspiring every Weichai person to remain true to their original aspiration and remember their mission.
