On October 8, Man Shengan arrived at the Shandong Heavy Industry (Singapore) Operations Center, visited the Products display center, met with frontline employees, and presided over a special scheduling meeting on the Southeast Asian market, listening to reports on the business development in the Southeast Asian market from subsidiaries such as Weichai Group, China National Heavy Duty Truck Group, Shaanxi Heavy Duty Truck, Shantui, Zhongtong, Weichai Lovol Smart Agriculture, Lovol Heavy Industry, and Fast.
Man Shengan pointed out that Southeast Asia is a key region for the high-quality co-construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative and a new growth pole for the global economy, holding a crucial position in Shandong Heavy Industry's internationalization strategy. The business development of Shandong Heavy Industry in the Southeast Asian market has started early, has a solid foundation, strong momentum, substantial backing, and great prospects, maintaining a good trend of rapid growth with enormous potential and space for future growth. We must resolutely seize opportunities, adjust structures, prioritize product exports as the strategic focus of current development and the top priority for all enterprises, accelerate the transition to high-tech, high-quality, and high-value-added products, and shift towards integrated solutions. We must steadfastly improve products, enhance brand recognition, achieve differentiation by having unique competitive advantages, and establish a mid-to-high-end brand image positioning. We must resolutely improve systems, respond quickly, and accelerate the deep localization of products, manufacturing, parts, services, finance, and Brand into a "six-in-one" approach. We must resolutely build a strong team, enforce responsibilities, and systematically plan, introduce, and train overseas talents to strongly support rapid business growth, ensuring that overseas employees are motivated in their work, have prospects for development, and have secure lives. On October 11, the "Zhongtong New Energy Bus Delivery Ceremony and Global Launch of the N12D Double-Decker Electric Bus" event was grandly held in Singapore. The Zhongtong N12D double-decker electric bus, as a result of Zhongtong Bus's technological innovations in recent years, redefines the new benchmark for Chinese new energy buses with its unique design, advanced performance, and excellent quality. Attendees included Kang Yiming, Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Singapore, Fu Xiaohui, General Representative of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade in Singapore and Secretary-General of the Chinese Enterprises (Singapore) Association, and Benjamin, President of Jardine Matheson Group.
In his speech, Man Shengan stated that Zhongtong Bus's bulk delivery of new energy buses to Singapore is another important achievement of Shandong Heavy Industry Group in the global high-end market, fully demonstrating Zhongtong's leading level in product quality and technological innovation, and strongly promoting the development of green transportation in Singapore. The diverse product portfolio and brand matrix of Shandong Heavy Industry will bring more opportunities to global partners and customers, and in the future, more quality products from Shandong Heavy Industry will serve Singapore and Southeast Asia, contributing to the local economy's green, low-carbon, and sustainable development.
During the "Singapore-Shandong Week" event, multiple products from Shandong Heavy Industry were showcased at the "Good Products from Shandong" exhibition in Singapore; at the Shandong Provincial State-owned Assets and State-owned Enterprises exchange meeting in Singapore, Weichai signed a cooperation agreement for the "B100 Biofuel Ship Power Development and Testing Project" with Nanyang Technological University, China Classification Society, and Pinnacle Maritime.
