On October 11, to solidly carry out the Shandong Heavy Industry "One Family, One Heart, Work Together, and Succeed Together" themed education activity, the "Red Imprint, Powerful Years" Weichai 78th Anniversary Archive Exhibition was held in the Science and Technology Building. Ma Changhai, a member of the Shandong Heavy Industry Group Party Committee and Deputy General Manager, along with the Party Secretary, Chairman, and General Manager of Weichai Group, visited the exhibition with Weichai cadres and employees.
Using physical evidence to narrate history. At the exhibition site, stones taken from the old site of Weihai Huanhai Iron Factory, photos, blueprints, and documents that witness the resonance between Weichai and the Republic, a fully wooden 6160 diesel engine model, enamel cups with inscriptions like "Learn from Daqing" and "Labor Competition Award", vintage calendars, telephones, typewriters, work permits, work uniforms, factory emblems, seals, food stamps, honor certificates from various decades of the last century... Each of these old items, carrying the memories of the era, is presented one by one, attracting visitors to explore the development context of Weichai over 78 years.
This exhibition, which started in August, carefully collected and selected 57 old documents, 83 old photos, 39 old items, and 145 other archival materials that carry the marks of Weichai's development and the memories of Weichai people, totaling over 300 exhibits that comprehensively and multi-dimensionally showcase the historical changes of Weichai over 78 years and the arduous struggle of Weichai people. These old items not only open a warm nostalgic journey but also inspire Weichai people to continue moving forward.
This exhibition is one of the series of activities "Strengthening the Weichai Brand, I Contribute to Heavy Industry" and will be on display for a month, during which more than 10,000 Weichai employees will be organized to visit the exhibition. By revisiting the arduous struggle journey, understanding the spiritual strength it carries, and inspiring Weichai people to continue the red gene, not forgetting the original intention of the predecessors' struggle, and striving to write a brilliant future.
