The main issues that need to be addressed when using fireboats for water supply are the laying of hoses and the coordination with land-based firefighting forces. In addition to the basic operations of hose connection and extension, long-distance operations must also be conducted, such as training for laying hoses over distances of 400 to 3000 meters, knowledge of using throwing devices to lay offshore water supply hose mains, and training for small boat water hoses, to ensure a smooth laying of the water supply main to reach the vehicles before supplying water.

  (2) EquippedFireboatWater supply equipment. To fully utilize the technical performance of the fireboat, the water supply equipment attached to the fireboat must be configured scientifically and reasonably. Specific considerations are as follows: the overall design of the fireboat is only for firefighting and rescue purposes. The number of water tanks that can be loaded is limited, and hose fixing brackets must be installed. The water supply equipment should be equipped with corresponding medium-pressure equipment, such as medium-pressure hoses, medium-pressure hose interfaces, medium-pressure water separators, etc. If low-pressure water supply equipment is used, it may be damaged when supplying water from a distance (e.g., hose explosion, leakage at interfaces, etc.), directly affecting the water supply at the fire scene and even causing water supply failures. If the equipment is only equipped according to conventional equipment standards, the water supply capacity cannot be utilized. If offshore water supply is used, the hoses in the waterway must be tied with ropes or fixed with interface fixtures; otherwise, they can easily come off due to the influence of water flow. It is not suitable for pumping water from rivers, and the main power guarantee for water supply ensures the intensity of water supply at firefighting sites.FireboatThe main power guarantee for water supply ensures the intensity of water supply at firefighting sites.
