Provincial Party Secretary Lin Wu visited the headquarters of Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. in Ningde City, Fujian Province, conducted research, attended a seminar and exchange meeting between Shandong Province and Contemporary Amperex Technology, and had in-depth discussions with the chairman of Contemporary Amperex Technology, Zeng Yuqun, to discuss cooperation matters.
On September 14, Provincial Party Secretary Lin Wu visited Ningde City, Fujian Province, to inspect and research the headquarters of Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited, attended a discussion and exchange meeting between Shandong Province and Contemporary Amperex, and had in-depth discussions with the chairman of Contemporary Amperex, Zeng Yuqun, to jointly discuss cooperation matters.
Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited was established in 2011 and is a global leader in innovative new energy technology. Lin Wu visited the headquarters exhibition hall and smart factory of Contemporary Amperex, gaining a detailed understanding of the company's History, important innovative achievements, research and production of power and energy storage batteries, and quality safety management.
At the subsequent discussion meeting, Lin Wu briefly introduced the economic and social development situation in Shandong, especially regarding new energy development and green low-carbon transformation. Lin Wu stated that in recent years, Shandong has deeply implemented the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party and the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee, carried out the important speech spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's inspection of Shandong, firmly shouldered the mission of 'leading the way and taking on heavy responsibilities', earnestly implemented the national dual carbon strategy, accelerated the construction of a pioneering area for green, low-carbon, and high-quality development, and promoted a comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development. Contemporary Amperex strongly supports and actively participates in Shandong's development, with relevant projects progressing smoothly and maintaining a good momentum of cooperation between both parties. It is hoped that Contemporary Amperex will continue to increase efforts in project promotion, plan and implement a number of new leading projects in the fields of power batteries and new energy storage, further improve the industrial layout in Shandong, and jointly promote the vigorous development of the new energy industry. It is hoped that both parties will strengthen cooperation in the transformation of scientific research achievements and industrial collaboration, further expand regional markets, and strive to achieve win-win development. Shandong will actively create a first-class business environment that is market-oriented, law-based, and internationalized, providing element guarantees and creating favorable conditions for the construction of Contemporary Amperex's projects in Shandong.
Zeng Yuqun stated that in recent years, Shandong has achieved positive results in new energy development and green low-carbon transformation. Contemporary Amperex attaches great importance to its development layout in Shandong and will strengthen communication and cooperation with relevant cities and enterprises in Shandong, actively promote relevant project construction, and better support Shandong's green, low-carbon, and high-quality development.
At the discussion meeting, Shandong Heavy Industry Group and Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited signed a strategic cooperation agreement.
