On November 29, the reporter learned that the construction of the first new type of multi-functional unmanned survey boat carried by the rake suction boat in China recently began.

The boat adopts the method of "independent design and domestic construction", which is contracted by the Institute of Ship and Ocean Engineering Design of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, the design drawing review Center of China Classification Society, and the construction of Changzhou FRP Shipyard. It is a major scientific research project initiated by the China Communications and Shanghai Aviation Administration, mainly in order to solve the urgent need of the timeliness of the dredging survey of the China Communications and Shanghai Aviation Administration in serving the "Belt and Road" project and improving the quality of data.

As China's first self-developed new multi-functional unmanned survey boat, facing the international science and technology frontier and the needs of the dredging industry, the ship design concept is closely linked to the national strategic goal of "carbon peak, carbon neutrality", the use of lithium battery power system, the use of all-electric propulsion. In the design, the two-body, deep "V" type ship has a comprehensive perception of the water surface space, can independently avoid obstacles and navigation, and independently perform measurement tasks under different operation scenarios, which is an intelligent and unmanned construction measurement tool for China's dredging industry. After the completion of the ship with a rake suction dredger as the mother ship, can be used for channel dredging, islands, coastline and other mapping, can carry sounder, side scan, shallow profile, flow direction meter and other measuring equipment, can achieve multi-task load, multi-mode operation, with "intelligent, automated, green" characteristics.
