On April 15th, the "2024 Shandong Enterprise (Entrepreneur) Social Responsibility" release ceremony and the launch ceremony of the "2025 Shandong Enterprise (Entrepreneur) Social Responsibility" exhibition, jointly hosted by the Shandong Provincial Market Supervision and Administration Bureau, the Dazhong Newspaper Group (Dazhong Daily), the Office of the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China's Financial Committee, the Shandong Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce, the Shandong Provincial People's Government State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, and the Shandong Provincial Federation of Social Work, was held in Jinan. At the event, Shandong Heavy Industry and its subsidiary Weichai Power both received the "2024 Shandong Enterprise Social Responsibility Excellent Practice" award.
Shandong is one of the earliest provinces in China to explore and promote corporate social responsibility. It has held the annual "Shandong Socially Responsible Enterprises (Entrepreneurs)" selection activity since 2020. In 2024, Weichai Power deeply implemented the national green and low-carbon development strategy, unswervingly fulfilled its social responsibilities, continuously improved the energy efficiency and emission reduction technology of internal combustion engines, accelerated the layout of the new energy industry, and built a national-level "green factory," providing Weichai's wisdom and strength to achieve the "dual carbon" goals. After the collection and review process, Weichai Power was successfully selected for the "2024 Shandong Enterprise Social Responsibility Excellent Practice" and received widespread social recognition.
