Entering a new stage

The "Chang Hang Cargo 005" vessel has an overall length of 129.98 meters, a molded width of 16.2 meters, a molded depth of 7.2 meters, and a maximum cargo capacity of 10,270 tons. As a demonstration vessel for a national key project, the vessel has made breakthrough progress in green technology, obtaining the China Classification Society's "Green Ship-2" green ship classification symbol, and demonstrating significant environmental benefits.

Two 1000kW Weichai WH20 micro-injection ignition LNG engines provide the vessel with efficient, reliable, and environmentally friendly power, achieving a comprehensive upgrade and iteration of the overall performance. It features high efficiency, reliability, strong power, and energy saving and environmental protection, making it a powerful tool for Weichai's WH series of marine power to replace imported products.

Currently, the Weichai WH20 micro-injection ignition LNG engine has been equipped on multiple 10,000-ton bulk carriers of the Chang Hang Group. After actual ship verification, compared with traditional fuel engines, CO₂ emissions are reduced by about 20% compared to similar diesel ships, sulfur oxides and nitrogen oxides emissions are reduced by 100%, and fuel costs can be saved by more than 20%. The actual operational performance has won high recognition from the Chang Hang Group, leading to additional bulk orders. Many local ship owners also boarded the ship to learn more about the use of the Weichai WH20 micro-injection ignition LNG engine.

As an important practice for the green and high-quality development of Yangtze River shipping, Weichai, together with the Chang Hang Group, promotes the engineering application of key technologies such as green, low-carbon, and intelligent navigation for inland river vessels, providing a green and intelligent technology integration solution for inland river bulk carriers and playing a demonstration and leading role in improving the environmental protection performance and safety level of Yangtze River cargo ships.
